Prices

We have three guesthouses you may stay in at A Guesthouse in the Clouds. See the Calendar for available space. To make a reservation, go to the Reservation Page.

In order to prevent double-bookings, we do not reserve space by phone except for same-day reservations. We require full payment in advance, payable by credit card once we have confirmed the space for you. We do not take reservations for one night only on weekends. There is a 5% Virginia state & local sales tax and a 5% Albemarle county "meals and lodging tax" that we must collect for the lodging in addition to your cost to stay with us in the Guesthouse. Weekly rate (7 nights or more) is based on the 2nd+ night above. ie. Annex - 1 bedroom is $145 x 7 = $1,015 for one week's stay, seven nights.

• Extra guests More than the number of people listed above in the "Included" column the cost is $25/night/person
  
• Children qualify as extra guests if they are over three or four years old and use the beds; if they sleep in a crib, they aren't. (It's all about the sheets)
  
• Extended Stay for 7 plus nights is the 2nd+ week-night price per night.
  
• Week nights are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you reserve one or more of these nights, you pay for one week-night for each week-night you reserve.
  
• Weekends are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is a two-night minimum on weekends
  
• The Weekend Price is the price for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. We don't book only Friday night or only Saturday night or only Sunday night. Actually, if you book Friday & Saturday nights only, we will block off Sunday also on the calendar, as we don't want that night to appear "available." This prevents people from thinking it is available and trying to book the Sunday night. This is because the maid doesn't work on Sunday, so the room just stays messy until she gets here on Monday to begin cleaning up. If you book the "Weekend", you are welcome to stay on Sunday night also. Please don't write or call and ask what the price is if you don't stay all three nights on the weekend as it makes no difference.
  
• Cancellations: Your payment (minus a $25.00 processing fee plus the 3% credit card fee above $25 if applicable) will be refunded to you up until ten days before your arrival date if you cancel. If you cancel 10 days or fewer before your arrival date, your payment will not be refunded. This applies to any and all cancellations, including if you choose not to come because of weather conditions. If we cancel your reservation, your payment will be refunded in full.
